Julie’s story
Early life and career
Born and raised in Auckland, Julie discovered her passion for healthcare, particularly dental health, at the age of 21. This realisation led her to pursue a career in dental hygiene, and in 2002 she earned her Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Over the next 18 years, Julie developed her expertise at Newmarket Dental Group, where she worked across general dental hygiene, periodontics, and orthodontics. Her passion for improving patients' oral health and her dedication to the field have been central to her long-standing career.
JOINING KOWHAI DENTAL
With the increasing need for dental professionals in Northland, Julie saw an opportunity to make a difference by joining Kowhai Dental. She was immediately impressed by the practice's commitment to the community and the support offered to both patients and staff. Julie is excited to further her skills in periodontics and looks forward to contributing to the ongoing health and well-being of Kowhai Dental’s patients.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys bushwalks, trips to the beach, reading, and spending time with friends. She is committed to staying active and engaged in her community, both personally and professionally.
